Halloween Party @ Mushu

Another time of the year where you got a chance to wear your other personality.
A time for costumes, movie character and famous celebrity icons.

Steve was a Nomad and I was Audrey Hepburn without the gloves.
Got no gloves so, i just went out like I came from a debut party.

DJs wearing Super Mario and Penguin costumes
while getting the crowd hype up to their remixes.

Saw Troy holding on his Red horse bottle.
lol still he got this Troy-ish aura.

With much effort on his Crepe costume, we want to eat him!

DJ Anton heating the crowd and getting hyped on his mixes!

Can't blame the crowd, we did enjoy the music!

Unexpectedly met my elementary friend Christy, we haven't seen each other
for a very long time.

The night ended with our hungry tummies.
Dropped by at KFC to grab some food.

Random Photoshoot Day

Random Photoshoot Day with my friend Lui.
We met at the mall and decided where to go for a random photoshoot. First idea was on a graffiti wall, but had a hard time thinking Where. Second was a city-scene / street-scene, so we thought about Goldenfield 'cause the streets there are not busy (plus the time, it was noon and their streets are busy at the night, so few cars are passing by).

First stop was at Goldenfield. We found a closed store and took some shots on their roll-up.

Second stop was at the old airport. We looked for the security guard to ask permission upon entering the runway and the head of the office permitted us.

After that shoot, i really felt my face got sun-stoked! But we really had fun walking and taking pictures under the sun!

Wreck it like you're 23!

A few days before my birthday, my sister and I were talking about what-surprise-will-you-do-to-surprise-me-on-my-birthday thingy before boarding to dreamland. Ideas came in raging from nowhere. Face props, photo wall, mixed drinks, beer pong, crepe papers on the stairs, pizza and other random things to do on that day.  I somehow got ideas from Nylon magazine (one of my favorite magazines), tumblr, and some just popped on my head.
It's so ironic that we plan on how to surprise the birthday girl, myself.
It was a random-tumblrish-inspired-party that we've decided to do, and i named it
"Wreck it like you're 23"
What a S-U-R-P-R-I-S-E! (<----insert poker-face here)
November 7-8 was the peak of the typhoon. It was raining hard and the trees shook up by strong winds. That was also the same time that we're on our bed sinking deep into sleep. It was like a lullaby.
I know that we were lucky that time because we still had our roofs on, walls still firm, and no flood came in on our doorsteps, but for other people that lost their loved ones and their homes, it was just a sad fact.
Before this blog turns out to be an essay, let me continue how i spent my special day. Keep Reading. eyes on the next line.
After that scary Yolanda, the sun rose up and brighten my special day, November 9.
Still got no electricity that day and no battery on my phone, but still Yolanda didn't stop me from celebrating my 23rd birthday. Before my battery got emptied, I texted my friends to come over to my house. I even told them that if it will still rain hard, they must go here! LOL just kiddin' haha I told them to be prepared but it was a brighty-sunshiney day for us.
So, i prepped up our small room upstairs, ripped off magazine pages for my photo wall,  mixed drinks and waited for the pizza to arrive. Below is the formula in making the MDBP:

MDBP = mountain dew + vodka / pineapple + vodka
(short for Mixed Drinks-Beer Pong)
Tidbit about this formula, first application of this was when we were at Guimaras for a short vacay. We brought vodka on a mineral bottle with us, got nothing to mix it with, and only mountain dew soda was available. Mixed Vodka and the soda, added ice and the result was we got tipsy by the beach. And that was the origin of MDBP.

Hangover-October: Masskaraland 2013

Masskaraland 2013

Going back to Masskara, Bacolod did an epic celebration for the Silver Masskara Festival.
The famous tourism strip also known as the Lacson Street was closed for three days from 4:00pm onwards.
Stages are set along the street and when the night comes, the party starts!
October 18, 19 and 20 are the highlights of Masskara and I wasn't absent from those days!

Let's start off from
Day 01: Friday, October 18.
Before that day, we were busy looking for a mask because we're supposed to go to Art District wearing a mask. My sister and I along with my friend had dinner at Kenaji at Lacson. We also met with other friends there. After dinner my friend and I went separate ways to meet my friend's co-workers. We strolled along Lacson to find a good spot to chill.
When we found a spot we ordered beer and good thing we were infront of a stage and the DJ's playing cool mixes. We didn't notice that we had 4 bottles of cold beer already and we didn't feel tipsy or something at all. Maybe because we kept on going back and forth to the comfort room. That explains it lol.

Photos up!
Me feeling a kiddo! Imagine if I accidentally let go of the balloons, maybe i'll be walking home without any money on my pocket haha!

At Art District for the Masskarave Masquerade party.
nevermind the creepy image at our back, its too early for halloween i guess haha!

With my friend Drixzel and some of the BCYD or Bacolod Circle of Yong Designers, Steve and Kym.

Took a picture with, i don't know what to call him, Masked-man.

Here's the spot i'm talking about. Perfect spot for a dance with a cold beer in hand ;))

Day 01 of Masskaraland....
Present!

Hangover-October: Mid-Year Program

Mid-Year Program

October is a month not to be forgotten. Why is that so?.. because when October comes, its a whole month celebration of our City of Smile, its simply means MASSKARA!

So let me tell you how my October went through.
First, it was one of the busiest month of work. I mean, tell me about all the school's preparation for our Mid-Year program. Busy as hell but at the same time really happy.
Since, my sister and I belonged to the Visuals Team, we joined forces with our co-teacher, Teacher Bea to do the backdrop of the program.
The program itself was titled "My World". The idea revolves around the different professions common in the surrounding. For example, my Gummi and Teddy bears class was The Sailors. Other classes was Painters, Athletes, Rockstars, Chefs and Bakers, Artists, and Builders. Each class wore their costume according to what profession they belong.
Last October 21 was the day of the program. It was held at Casa Maria Prayer house and here are some of the pictures taken during the program.

As a ritual, since we are new teachers at SCB, we danced as part of the program. Pony-tailed our hair and we looked like 5-year-old kids again!

And while waiting for our turn to dance on the stage, here are my students!

Selfie-pose with Teacher Bea and Teacher Jestine!

Here is the whole stage for the program. All sweat and all Saturday overtime was worth it. Gigantic Football, Painter's Palette, Boat, Cupcake, and etc.

So this is the first stop of my Hangover-October!
